Hi all

The item we have been preparing for the The Singapore Heart Foundation Concert at the Singapore Flyer will be referred as the RDL collab item from now on, for easy reference.
RD for Redeafination [RDF]
L for Legend ( of which our guests are collectively known as)

IMPORTANT
As mentioned, all Saturdays from now to show is dedicated to class & rehearsal. You should have already committed to these Saturday rehearsals.
If any Sat you cannot make it or late or need to leave early please state in your schedule email.

On top of these, we need 3 additional week day practice in the month of Feb. It would most probably be in SADeaf new hall (got big mirror and air con!! woohooo!) We will look at everyone’s schedule and fix the weekday.

Youth Concert for Women At Risk

Dear Members,

As mentioned last class, we have a performance on 28th Feb 2009.
The details of the event can be found at the end of this post.

Rehearsal Schedule is as follows
Starting this coming Sat, all Saturdays til showtime,
Choreo will be taught in class – 730 to 9
So class as usual, those who are not involved in the show should still attend class.
Rehearsal for the item from 915-11.
This is when we piece the class steps together and drill on the item itself.

After CNY, we might need a few weekdays. This will depend on progress on the item and availability of the performers.
We will decide on which weekday when we consolidate everyones schedule.

NEXT STEP
Please revert on whether you can commit and interested to perform for this.
There will be a collaboration with some external dancers who are old time dancemates with us.
This is a good opportunity to learn.
Some of you told me you dun want to perform cos you cannot match up to the senior dancers.
I want to clarify that this is a Redeafination project. The purpose of inviting the guest dancers is precisely for you all to learn.
Please revert me with a YES or NO by Thursday 8th Jan 2359 hrs. Thks!

Here are some words from the organiser, from Heart Foundation.
——-
The event will be held at the Singapore Flyer on the 28th Feb 2009 and
the time is from 7 to 10pm. It is at the outdoor concert ground.
Proceeds of the tickets sold will go to provide health screenings for
women, to promote awareness that heart health matters to them too, not
just men.

We have already extended invitations to the following people/groups
and in the process of confirming the attendance:
- Ms. Lily Goh
- Superband Champian – Tu Zi (Rabbits)
- Tay Kewei (Singer)
- Ling Kai (Youtube Singer)

To end this, I present to you some facts about heart disease and women:
- Heart Disease and Stroke is the #1 Killer For Women in Singapore
- Women are just as likely as men to get heart attacks after their menopause
- Women are more likely to die from heart diseases than men
- Only 1/3 as many women seek corrective treatments for heart-related
diseases as compared to men
- Women have less detectable symptoms from men when having a heart attack

3 Jan Class As Usual

Hi all!

3 Jan 2009 Class as usual at 745 pm at Danz People.
Contining last weeks’ choreo. Please revise!
We will be in studio at 7 so whoever hasn’t learnt or wants to ask anything can come early.
We will show the ANIC video at 730pm for those interested.

Please note that we need to collect $15 from each of you for membership from Jan-March 2009.
Kai you need to make payment for December as well.
