Guest Instructors for April

Yo!
If case you haven’t heard, a few dancers from NRA will be coming down to guest teach for the month of April.
They will be using class time to conduct a 4 week long dance workshop.
So please extend a warm welcome to them to Saturday and don’t be late yah!
We must make good use of this opportunity and learn as much as we can from them.

SADEAF Walkathon Performance

Let’s give ourselves 2 thumbs up for Redeaf’s performance at the Association walkathon today!
I think what we did today will go a long way to make a lasting impression on everyone present.

Just to share the news with those who weren’t around, there was some discussion that was kick-started on:
1. performing for a ministerial event
2. getting our own dance room for training and personal development

Hopefully we will follow through with some of the plans so stay tuned….

A personal observation today:
It was very encouraging for me today to see everyone’s enthusiasm in trying to remember and dance all of the old performance items in the hot and humid hall when we were hanging out waiting for the crowd to disperse. I think we have really grown a lot and come a long way since. Let’s continue to enjoy our journey in dance together and bring Redeafination to greater heights, because we are a crew and that is what we do!

Many factors combined to make it a really short choreo session this week!
Wish I could have finished teaching the whole choreography but I hope you all enjoyed the class nonetheless.

We will be doing more “rhythmic”-type choreography after April to focus more on our body rhythm and other basics.

Club Calendar

Dear all

I have grant permission to all official members to edit the club google calendar.
This will aid the scheduling of rehearsals as well as preempt the absentees for class.

Would appreciate that you update us in advance if you know you are going to be absent for certain classes.
Please update in the description of the event.
Click on the event and you will see a field for description.
Enter your name and reason for absence.
Please do not edit any other event details.

you can see example that i have entered for fern’s absence on 11 April for the regular class.

Let’s try this out and see if it works good for us.

Walkathon Rehearsal Fri 27 March

Dear Walkathon Dancers

Please be reminded to be at SADEAF CUES ANGELINE at 7pm this Friday for tech run and stage block.
After that we will stay in SADeaf hall to practise til 930 and go home and rest for the show the next day!

Rem to bring your costume that you want to wear.
We will see if suitable, else we will revert to the One Stage Tee.

Red-D Show Photo Gallery

those who have pictures of the show can send original resolution fotos to redeafination@gmail.com so that we can have an archive of club photos.
I have with me the shots from Alvan and Jon the 2 volunteer photographers who working hard with us that day.
They had some nice shots of us in action during tech run!
After I get the rest of the fotos from you guys will upload to a consolidated gallery.

Anyway, as the club stablizes we hope to allocate out small roles. One of which is coordinating for each event. Another is have someone in charge of photo and video archives.

Let us know if you are keen to contribute in such ways to the club. If you have other ideas or expertise to contribute, please discuss with the rest of us. thks!

Hi all regular class at 730pm at Danz People this Saturday.
Everyone is expected. Please inform if you cannot make it.
Please inform if you have friends coming for trial as well.
Some of have asked about it previously.

19 April Sunday: Welcome to my World Concert by VSA

Item 2: Lolli Lolli
Dancers: Same as Red-D performers, including Legend.
Rehearsal Schedule: Please see google calendar and revert if you want to be in this item.
We have invited Legend to restage this item with us because we did such a great show at the flyer but due to lighting we can’t get a good video and memory of it. The Legend dancers have gladly agreed. hope all of you can commit to this as well so that we do not have to make too many changes to the item.

26 April Sunday: Mun Siong Engineering Fund Raising Carnival for SADeaf
