Interview by Dakelus Low

Hi all

Rebecca’s friend Dakelus who uploaded our VSA performance video on facebook is interested to do a personal video project featuring Redeafination. He would like to interview our members. Here is his request. Note that the interviewer is hearing impaired. For hearing members, good if you can sign for the interview else someone will interpret for you. All you need to do is email us your answer. We are just collecting the answers for him. We are not doing any censoring. But the interviewer might do editting.
Then when the interviewer comes, you just reach early before class at 7pm for the filming:

Hi nix,

I have a friend who will be with me as 2-man team show. He’s an avid photographer and owns a DSLR. Thus I asked him to help me take pics of you guys while I use my camera for filming purposes.

As for the dates, it’s better for us to come down and do the filming when there’re no events concurring. It’ll be easier for us to move ard without distracting the team.

my questions for members only:

Why do you join Redeafination when there are many good dance clubs in Singapore?

Working with HI members can be daunting task, especially when they cannot hear the music. How do you counter that? (for hearing member)

I’m surprised you can dance! Why do you choose this path? (for deaf members)

They will be interviewed individually. They can opt to speak if they cannot sign. HI must sign! Email me their answers in 2 weeks time. They must try to memorize their answers before they will be interviewed. I’ll edit some words if needed be.

Mun Siong Rehearsal

Rehearsals this Saturday from 9 pm till late.
We will be doing an item using choreography taken from Big Bang and Lolli (guess what our item is called?)

Hina, Geeta, Angeline, Fern please revise and familiarize yourselves with Big Bang choreography again in preparation for this Saturday’s rehearsal.

There will also be minor modifications to Lolli choreography – we will be taking out the “3 rows” portion as well as the “solo” (bob/yvonne) portion.

ANIC 08 – Tech Run Vid

Super old tech run video from “A Nation in Concert” back in Oct 2008.

In this video I know there are some mistakes made, formation wasn’t as tight etc etc… but in the actual performance, you girls did hit it perfectly. I was hoping to be able to put up the official performance video but was pretty disappointed to see that it was edited in such a way that the whole effect on stage is lost.

Anyway, here it is, for fond memories of ANIC 2008 as we look forward to more great performances from Redeafination

April Rodriguez Interview

Mun Siong Fund Raiser

As mentioned to some today, Redeafination has been invited to perform for a fund raising event at SADEAF. We will be performing during the Investiture Ceremony presided by Guest of Honor, Mrs Nathan. I know this is a bit last minute but we will be reusing old choreography so don’t worry.

Event details are still a but sketchy at the moment but we plan to have 1 rehearsal on coming Saturday night.
Sunday’s performance will be in the early afternoon (around 1pm)

SMS’s will be sent out soon to confirm whether or not you are available.

Mun Siong is going to be our final performance before we take a well deserved break and retire the Lolli choreo for a while. I think the past 2 months of repeated performances has been somewhat taxing on us, with all the rehearsals and other matters.

We will probably work on something new for future upcoming major performances so that the newer members can join us ok.

VSA 2009 – The aftermath

Thanks to everyone for all the hard work in this concert. Special thanks as well to the Legend Dancers for so readily agreeing to restage the collab item again. We couldn’t have done it without you. And of course thanks to Nazmi and friends for the make up – you’ve really impressed with the level of profesisonalism

Preparations for this concert has been a real roller-coaster ride but the blood sweat and tears that we have put into this has truly paid off in the end. Thank you to everyone for being such a huge inspiration. There is certainly great pride and joy in seeing Redeafination reach new heights with each major performance.

We have had a dizzying flurry of positive comments coming from many of the guests present. I just wish to end off by saying that this has been a really wonderful and surreal experience.

VSA Concert Sunday Schedule

Hi all

We need to report at Victoria Theatre at 930am this sunday for sound check and stage blocking.
This will end latest at 11am.

After that we can go off for lunch or those who need to go off elsewhere can do so.

Next reporting time is 2pm back at Victoria Theatre to have the full run.

After that we need to stay in all the way to do make and then show start at 5pm.

Please leave a msg here to let me know if you can make it for the above timing or what time u need to leave and come back again.
