Club Operations – Club Budget with SADeaf

Dear Redeaf members,

We have not totally shared club’s operations matters (behind the scene) with all of you. Reason being there have constantly been too much going on both with our performances as well as operations matters. And we thought it is best that you all enjoy the dance part which might already be quite taxing in a way. Dance is not an easy passion to substain. But only those who are really passionate enough knows why we all still hold on to it.

The club has grown quite a bit and we are slowly building up as one family. In addition, due to certain progress of things, we thought we would like from now on to share as much as possible with the whole club operation matters and make decisions together as a club.

Like for example, for performances, we would like to ask everyone if you think the club should perform at certain events. For those events that we understand better, we would share with everyone the pros and cons of the event and hear feedback from everyone.

Right now, just would like to share some updates with you all.
Currently we have been informed that budget for this financial year has not been approved.
This might mean that expenses incurred so far from 1st April till now, we would have to find our own means because SADeaf will not be paying for them although the expenses have already been incurred.

We will update the whole club as things progress.
Jason and Nix will be meeting the ED of Sadeaf for discussion next week.
Meanwhile, I want to assure the club that our classes will not stop.
We will find some way or another to hold our classes in an appropriate environment.
