H1N1 Notice

As you all know, H1N1 is at its peak. We need to be socially responsible and take all necessary precautions. From this coming rehearsal onwards we need all dancers involved in rehearsal to note the following:

- Take your temperature before you come for rehearsal. If you are having a fever please rest at home and inform Nix/Jason immediately.

- Because we will not be able to get an advanced thermometer for the club to conduct mass temperature taking for everyone, we need all to take initiative and be self responsible.

- If you are coming from school or workplace where temperature taking is conducted, please make sure your PM temparature is ok before you come for rehearsal.

- Ideally, get a personal thermometer and monitor before just before you come for rehearsal.

- If you experience flu symptoms and feel a fever coming please inform Nix/Jason immediately.

I know you all read this everywhere but it is now essential that we put this in black and white because there have been rising concerns internally. And in this way, we can answer properly to Danz People in any case.

Recruitment Class
Due to H1N1 concerns, we have decided to postpone the trial class. To play safe and be kiasi , It is better that we keep group contact within known individuals. Introducing new people in this kind of time might not be a wise act. This will only affect a few who have registered.
This will also provide us more time for rehearsal. We will have the recruitment class after Dancetitute. Meanwhile do start recruiting interested friends.

Committing to the Dancetitute Show: Credits to Everyone

First of all, would like to credit all dancers who have declared their commitment to the event. This includes Emeelee although she will not be joining us in the show. I have come to know about some misintepretation about my announcement previous rehearsal and thereby would like to clarify that Emeelee is also one of those are willing to meet up on extra days for extra practise to catch up. However, after assessing the schedule and other factors, it is Nix’s decision to take her out. Thus, would like still like to honour every single one who has the heart for this whole thing

Appreciating One Another
Here’s the emo part
There have been many unexpected ups and downs this whole period preparing for this concert. We have a tough few weeks ahead as said many times. I am sure everyone of us made sacrifices in one way or another, big ways small ways to commit to this.

Maybe some of us are already damn stress by studies and exams, maybe some of us are pressurized by family about time commitment, maybe some of us have to work inhumane timings and shifts and OTs or have to bring work home etc yet stilll need to squeeze time out for rehearsals, maybe some of us have injuries that keep cropping up, maybe some of us has so little time to rest and relax that we fall sick, some of us have some real shitty personal problems. (anyone wanna contribute to the above list are welcome)

Some of you have shared with me your difficulties.
Some of you might have shared with your dancemates.
Some of you might just have kept everything to yourself.

I just want to use here to let everyone know and lay this out openly. Although we might not be comfortable sharing our difficulties with everyone, after this post I hope everyone appreciates every single one of us who attend each rehearsal. Because for some of us, for many of us, or for everyone of us for that matter, it might not have been easy to make it to that one rehearsal each time. So let’s appreciate each other’s presence.

Good News!
We want to welcome Nazmi back to the team. Although he will not be able to join us on stage, he will still be leading his team to handle our makeup and hair and everything that make sure we appear professional on that stage.
